Breast Lift

Breast lift aesthetics, namely mastopexy; It is performed in order to raise the sagging breasts and give them an aesthetic appearance, to achieve harmony with body sizes, to obtain natural-looking and symmetrical breasts. Breast lift operations are operations that can be applied to all women with sagging breasts, whether they have given birth or not.

The causes of sagging in the breasts can be seen structurally, as well as in the case of weight gain and loss, in the period after giving birth and due to age, due to the effect of gravity. In order to understand the sagging state of your breast, you must first go in front of the mirror, and then you can understand whether there is sagging by evaluating your nipple and under-breast line. The sagging condition of the breast, called breast ptosis, is mostly classified in 4 groups. These 4 groups; mild, moderate, severe and pseudoptosis. If the nipple is at the level of the inframammary line or less than 1 cm, it is light. If the nipple is 1-3 cm below the inframammary line, it is medium. If the nipple is located less than 3 cm below, it is severe ptosis. If the nipple is located above the normal under-breast line but the base of the breast is seen as sagging, this is also pseudoptosis.

If your breasts are sagging due to reasons such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, sudden weight change and aging, if you see sagging on your nipple or the tissue surrounding the tip, and if your doctor thinks that it will not be possible to give the desired shape to the breast using only a prosthesis, you may prefer a breast lift operation.

Breast lift surgery can be performed with many different techniques. In our first technique, an “Inverted T” incision is made around the nipple. This incision descends vertically from the nipple to the breast fold and continues horizontally along the fold. This technique is generally used in patients with advanced breast sagging. In our second technique, a “Lollipop” incision is made and the incision continues vertically from the nipple to the lower breast fold. This technique is generally used to lift breasts with moderate sagging. An incision is made only around the nipple in our patients with a slight sagging. In all techniques, the tissues around the nipple are first released. Then, the excess tissue in the surrounding breast tissue is removed and the breast is given a new shape. After shaping, the nipple can be sewn to its ideal place.
